§ 30.15. VICE-MAYOR.

  • (A) Creation; term.
    (1) The position of Vice-Mayor of the City of Crestview Hills, Kentucky is created.
    (2) The term of office of the Vice-Mayor shall be two (2) years and shall correspond to the terms of office of the members of Council elected at the time of selection of the Vice-Mayor.
    (B) Qualifications. The Vice-Mayor shall be the member of City Council who received the largest number of votes in the last general election at which all or a majority of members of Council were elected. If two (2) or more members received the same plurality of votes the position shall be filled by lot.
    (C) Duty. The duty of the Vice-Mayor shall be to preside at meetings of Council in place of the Mayor.
    (D) Vacancy. If a vacancy should occur in the position of Vice-Mayor, the member of Council who received the second largest number of votes in such election shall fill the position for the remainder of the term of office.
