§ 93.25. SECURITY CAPS FOR BUILDINGS WITH SPRINKLER SYSTEMS.

  • (A) Any building located in the city which is protected by an automatic sprinkler system or standpipe system and which the fire department connection to such system is exposed to the public, shall have installed thereon a fire department connection security cap. The fire department security cap shall be of a type approved by the fire chief of the city.
    (B) The requirements of this section shall not apply to owner-occupied single or double family dwellings.
    (C) All existing buildings subject to this section shall comply with this section within six months from its effective date. All newly constructed buildings, which are not yet occupied and those that may still be under construction, which are subject to this section shall comply with the requirements of this section immediately.
